8 Steps to Recording your Audiobook at Home

  •  put some acoustic panel in your room
  • use the suitable microphone
  • put the microphone in the middle of the room
  • sit the Mac level with your mouth
  • use a pop filter
  • used closed back headphone when recording
  •  set level in your interface between -16 – 18 DB
  • warm up your voice and drink water

Audio Specification for ACX

  • Each file must be no longer than 120 minutes.
  • Each file must measure between -23dB and -18dB RMS.
  • Each file must have peak values no higher than -3dB.
  • Each file must have a noise floor no higher than -60dB RMS.
  • Each file must be 192kbps or higher 44.1kHz MP3, Constant Bit Rate (CBR).
